The grounds Roblox relies on
Roblox Corporation moderates accounts and content under its Terms of Use and its Community Standards, and it uses both human moderators and automated systems to find violations. Roblox describes consequences ranging from warnings and the removal of content to account restrictions, with steps that may grow harsher for repeated violations, from a warning to a timeout to a suspension. Cheating and exploiting are treated with particular severity, since Roblox's help article on the subject states that they will lead to the deletion of the account.
A second kind of ban does not come from Roblox at all, since the developer of each experience can ban players from that experience, either for breaking the Community Standards inside it or for breaking custom rules that creators set and manage themselves. Such a ban shows as Error Code 600 or 267 and leaves the account free to use every other experience on the platform. Thus, the first step is to establish who set the ban, because the answer decides where the appeal goes.
Where the appeal goes
For a platform ban, Roblox's appeals article (checked on 26 October 2026) explains that the moderation notification names the available route. It is either Violations & Appeals in the account, where the player selects the appeal option and explains why the case merits reevaluation, or the Roblox support form. The appeal must be filed within 30 days of the moderation action, or within 6 months for users in the European Union. Only the owner of the account may send it, from a valid email address of that account.
An experience ban, however, cannot be appealed to Roblox. Roblox states that its support team is unable to remove bans issued directly by experience creators or to contact them on the player's behalf, and that it does not handle appeals concerning custom experience rules. The appeal, therefore, goes to the developer through its own channels; BIG Games, for instance, offers a contact form with a "Game Support" subject on its website and runs a Discord server.
What the appeal should contain
For an account appeal, Roblox's support form asks for the username and a brief statement of the reason; for content, it adds the asset ID and a link to the content on Roblox's website. The statement should name the violation given in the notification, the date of the action and the item, message or behaviour concerned. Thereafter, it should explain why that conduct does not meet the rule cited. Where the account had been taken over, the appeal should say when and attach what shows it, e.g. password-reset emails or a recovery ticket.
For an experience ban, the addressee is the developer, who applies its own rules alongside the Community Standards. The appeal should, therefore, state the Roblox username, the experience, the date and the exact wording of the ban message, and it should answer the specific rule the developer relies on with a short account of the session in question.
After the decision
Roblox reviews a moderation action only once: according to its appeals article, a moderation that has been reviewed cannot be reviewed again, and duplicate appeals for the same action are not reviewed. A second request to Roblox thus achieves nothing, and the first appeal has to contain the whole case. Users in the European Union may, in addition, turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under the Digital Services Act or seek judicial redress, as the same article states.
Roblox's Community Standards prohibit creating or using an account to avoid enforcement action taken against another account, as well as using a VPN to mask one's location in order to gain unauthorised access. Ban evasion may thus breach the rules a second time; accordingly, this guide does not describe ways around a ban.
Current enforcement
In June 2026, Game Ban Appeal prepared an appeal for a Roblox account; the decision on the ban remained with Roblox. The Roblox appeal page sets out the steps in short form, and the ban-wave monitor records the enforcement waves currently reported across the games it covers.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Roblox ban be appealed?
Yes, a ban set by Roblox can be appealed through Violations & Appeals or the support form, whichever the moderation notification names, within 30 days of the action or 6 months in the European Union. A ban from a single experience, by contrast, can only be appealed to that experience's developer.
Can Roblox Support remove a ban from an experience?
No. Roblox states that its support team cannot remove bans issued directly by experience creators and cannot contact the creator on the player's behalf. The developer has to be reached through its messages, community wall, website or social links.
Can a Roblox appeal be submitted a second time?
Not with any effect. Roblox reviews a moderation action once and does not review duplicate appeals for the same action, so the first appeal should contain every fact and every piece of evidence.
