The grounds Cfx.re and server teams rely on

FiveM, a multiplayer platform for Grand Theft Auto V, forms part of Rockstar Games' Creator Services under the Creator Platform License Agreement (checked on 26 October 2026), last updated on 10 September 2026, and its player support runs under the Cfx.re name. Global bans follow, in general, a detection by the platform's automated anti-cheat, which according to Cfx.re detects external programs that attempt to inject information into the FiveM or RedM client. The account linked to such a detection is banned from FiveM and RedM alike, and each attempt to join a server shows a message stating that the account is globally banned and for how long.

A ban from a single community server is a different matter. Cfx.re's guidance for players states that each community decides how its server operates and that acceptable behaviour can differ between servers. The license agreement, for its part, makes server admins responsible for their servers, while Rockstar endorses no individual server. Thus, a server ban turns on that server's own rules and on what its staff observed, not on the platform's anti-cheat.

Where the appeal goes

A global ban goes to Cfx.re support, not to the GTA Online support. Cfx.re's ban FAQ invites players who believe they were banned by mistake to submit a ban appeal, and its help centre offers a Submit an Appeal form, which an article of 1 July 2026 names as the route for appealing a Cfx account. It shall be noted that the message Game integrity check failed is, according to Cfx.re, not a ban but the closing of the game process after the anti-cheat detected an anomaly.

A server ban, by contrast, is decided by that server's owner or team, so the appeal goes to them through the channel the server itself names, e.g. its website or community channels. Rockstar states in the license agreement that it is not responsible for actively monitoring custom servers. Hence, neither Cfx.re nor Rockstar is, arguably, the right address for a server's own ban.

What the appeal should contain

For a global ban, the appeal should give the Cfx account and the linked Rockstar Games account, the exact wording of the ban message with its stated duration, and the date. Cfx.re asks players who consider a ban mistaken to check the files they ran with the game, since outside applications may interfere with FiveM and cause a false ban. The appeal should therefore name the programs, overlays and client mods that ran at the time and state which of them were removed afterwards.

For a server ban, the appeal should follow the server's own format where it has one and name the character, the account names the server knows, the time of the incident and the rule the staff cited. A factual account of what happened, supported by a clip or screenshot where one exists, carries more weight than a protest against rules that each community sets for itself. Where the player did break the rule, the appeal should say so and explain the circumstances.

After the decision

As of 26 October 2026, Cfx.re's help centre states no fixed review time for appeals. A second request makes sense only with new facts, for example evidence that a specific program which is not a cheat caused the detection, while a refused server appeal remains within the discretion of that server's team.

Joining with another account during a global ban, or rejoining a server under a different identity after a server ban, may breach the platform's terms and the server's rules alike. Accordingly, this guide does not describe ways around a ban.

Current enforcement

The FiveM appeal page sets out the steps in short form, and reports of wider enforcement waves are recorded on the ban-wave monitor.

Frequently asked questions

Can a FiveM global ban be appealed?

Yes. Cfx.re's ban FAQ invites players who believe they were banned by mistake to submit a ban appeal through its support site, and the help centre lists an appeal form for Cfx accounts.

Who decides a ban on a single FiveM server?

The owner or team of that server. Each community decides how its server operates, so the appeal goes to the server through the channel it names and should follow that server's rules.

Is “Game integrity check failed” a FiveM ban?

No. According to Cfx.re, the message means that the anti-cheat detected an anomaly in the game process and closed it, which is not a ban. Cfx.re recommends removing cheat software, client mods and recently installed programs that might interfere with the game.
